Position Summary The Aviation Sales Specialist (Inside Sales) supports and grows customer accounts through fast, accurate quoting, proactive follow‑up, and solution‑oriented customer service. This role begins with a structured 90‑day onboarding and ramp period focused on systems training, product/vendor familiarity, quoting accuracy, and customer communication standards.
What Success Looks Like in 90 Days
Independently manages inbound customer requests and quoting workflow with accuracy and urgency.
Consistently follows up on quotes and open items, driving quote‑to‑order conversion through professional persistence.
Communicates clearly and professionally across phone/email/chat and sets strong customer expectations on lead times, availability, and delivery.
Documents customer interactions and next steps in the CRM to maintain pipeline visibility and accountability.
Demonstrates baseline product and vendor familiarity, knows where to find answers quickly, and escalates appropriately when needed.
Contributes positively to team coverage (shared inbox, collaboration with purchasing/operations) and represents PJi professionally.
Responsibilities Handle inbound phone/email/chat inquiries and provide fast, accurate responses.
Create and present quotes; recommend alternatives when appropriate; confirm availability/lead times/shipping expectations.
Own follow‑up cadence to close orders and resolve open items.
Maintain a high‑quality customer experience through professionalism, clarity, and follow‑through.
Customer Sales & Support
Handle inbound phone/email/chat inquiries and provide fast, accurate responses.
Create and present quotes; recommend alternatives when appropriate; confirm availability/lead times/shipping expectations.
Own follow‑up cadence to close orders and resolve open items.
Maintain a high‑quality customer experience through professionalism, clarity, and follow‑through.
Account Growth
Identify additional needs and repeat opportunities within existing accounts.
Support new account development using approved tools and outreach processes.
Systems & Collaboration
Log activity, opportunities, and next steps in the CRM.
Coordinate with purchasing/operations and vendor partners to confirm sourcing details and timelines.
Assist with shared inbox coverage and internal coordination during peak periods.
Continuous Learning
Learn key product lines, vendor partners, and common aviation maintenance use cases.
Stay informed on product updates and industry trends relevant to customers.
Qualifications
2+ years of inside sales, customer service, or account support experience (B2B preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable speaking with customers by phone.
Highly organized; able to manage multiple quote threads and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Comfortable learning technical products; aviation experience is helpful but not required.
Education Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
Work Environment & Additional Requirements
Ability to sit/stand for extended periods and work at a computer for most of the day.
Occasional lifting of small packages/materials may be required.
May require occasional travel for training, customer visits, or team needs.

Compensation This role begins with base compensation during the onboarding/ramp period. After transition to Inside Sales Representative, the employee becomes eligible to participate in PJi’s inside performance based compensation plan.
