Job Summary
The Territory Manager is responsible for marketing, promoting, and profitably selling products and services to existing and potential new customers within assigned territory. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships to grow profitable sales.

Essential Functions
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
Ability to interpret and process data.
Strong process‑improvement skills.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Frequently required to sit, bend, reach, type and handle information with fine finger manipulation.
Must be able to travel for business purposes.
Occasionally required to lift or carry 50 lbs.
Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
Job Functions
Develop plans and strategies to achieve the company’s sales and profit margin goals.
Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to leadership.
Utilize sales reports and market data to identify sales opportunities.
Execute personal sales calls at customer locations on a consistent basis – service oriented.
Work closely with the leadership team to establish successful channel and customer programs.
Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
Attend industry events and functions.
Monitor travel expenses to budget and execute monthly expense reports.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of professional sales or related work experience.
Knowledge in strategic planning and execution.
Professional written, verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
Experience in developing, planning and organizing sales strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results‑driven, team‑oriented environment.
Knowledge and proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
Proven business acumen: strategic thinker/planner, understanding of product positioning and pricing.
Broad product experience within the Architectural Door Hardware category is a plus.
Ability to travel 35%–50% of the time.
Ability to treat all information as confidential and demonstrate a high level of ethics, trust and professionalism.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; capable of relating to individuals at all levels of the organization.
Valid driver’s license with a "clean" driving record.
Education
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
