Salary Range:
$4,020.33 – $6,335.66 per month
Shift Full‑time days with on‑call duty every third week.

Responsibilities
Review medical records concurrently for appropriateness of level of care and discharge planning.
Conduct insurance and managed care reviews.
Review all patient admission data and determine suitability of level of care according to Texas Medical Foundation and other criteria.
Collaborate with attending physicians when a case does not meet admission or continued stay criteria; refer unresolved issues to the Director of Case Management/CDI.
Document all utilization review activity on appropriate forms.
Develop and maintain working relationships with physicians and staff.
Work with patients and families to identify resources and support for post‑hospital care.
Coordinate with nursing for discharge teaching.
Work with other agencies to arrange placement, transportation, funding, medications, and other protocols cost‑effectively.
Prepare and maintain essential records and reports.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Identify and implement actions to improve clinical services.
Organize time and prioritize workload.
Manage conflict and problematic situations openly, respectfully, and tactfully.
Support organization mission and vision.
Optimize resource use for efficient operation.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse licensure in Texas or a Master of Social Work (MSW).
Calm and effective handling of high‑stress situations.
Minimum two (2) years of medical or psychiatric case management or utilization experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred three to five years of case management experience in a hospital setting.
Minimum three years’ experience in an acute care setting.
Knowledge of Texas Medical Foundation criteria.
Knowledge of InterQual screening criteria.
