Regional Director – New Partner Optimization

You’ll set the tone for growth, lead innovative initiatives, and ensure every teammate and client experience reflects our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead integration efforts, help realize synergies, and accelerate growth plan.
Deliver and support change management messaging with teams; remain calm in the face of high emotion or conflict and work actively to reduce tension and dissatisfaction.
Ensure adherence to Optimization Playbook and key milestones through each phase of integration.
Own the P&L of assigned teams.
Develop a regional organic growth strategy to achieve firm goals; develop a strategy to improve client retention, monitor retention metrics, and resolve issues.
Partner with the Director of Client Service to ensure optimal service to advisors and clients.
Achieve segmentation and utilization metrics.
Accountable for appropriate team capacity allocation and planning.
Develop staffing plans tailored to regional needs and growth projections.
Facilitate cross‑team collaboration and define best practices with other Regional Directors.
Assist with sourcing and attracting advisory talent and promote a healthy talent pipeline (career fairs, internships, etc.).
Assist with sourcing M&A targets.
Develop and organize advisor retreats and events in the region; actively involved in continual training and education of all Advisors.
Provide support to advisors with sourcing and closing new client opportunities; support new business development outreach through community events, educational outreach, and social organization involvement.
Facilitate various all‑hands calls across regions (monthly Team Lead calls, employee recognition calls, etc.).
Work directly with internal partners (Marketing, Investment Research, Tax & Consulting) to support overall client experiences.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly oversee and lead a regional team of Managing Directors and Financial Advisors; hire, assign work, and recommend salary increases, promotions, and terminations. Provide leadership, guidance, and resources to subordinate supervisors in a legally compliant manner.
Champion a constructive culture and lead by example to promote accountability, motivation, and recognition.
Select, supervise, empower, coach, develop, and retain a team of qualified individuals; execute a clear succession plan.
Establish clear performance measures for the team and individual members; conduct regular reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Collaboratively set realistic goals aligned with departmental and organizational objectives; develop plans with employees to achieve those goals.
Align team objectives and individual metrics with organizational strategic goals.
Maintain open and effective communication to keep the team informed and engaged.
Actively engage in coaching and guidance to foster professional growth; be approachable.
Encourage innovation and continuous improvement; foster an environment that welcomes new ideas and supports risk‑taking.
Support professional development opportunities for the team.
Model exemplary conduct and uphold the highest ethical and legal standards; promote adherence to Savant’s policies, procedures, and core values.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field from an accredited college or university (master’s preferred).
Team player with a can‑do attitude, flexibility, and desire to support advisor, team, region, and firm growth.
Minimum of 10 years in the wealth management industry.
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role with accountability for regional revenue targets.
Holding a current Series 65 (or equivalent) or another qualifying designation (CFP, CFA, PFS, CIC, ChFC) is required.
Up to 75% travel may be required; ability to manage flexible travel schedules is essential.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CFP designation or similar highly preferred.
Proven success in a competitive environment leading an Advisory team to aggressive growth targets.
Knowledge of best practices for advisory teams and firms (strategy, growth, human capital, operations).
Familiarity with Salesforce, Tamarac, Office, MoneyGuide.
Aptitude in creative problem‑solving.
Experience determining partner needs through probing questions and providing solutions.
Comfortable with detailed work and a roll‑up‑sleeves mindset.
Experience implementing Advisor sales training tied to activities/behaviors that drive results.
