Responsible for developing independent account business, emphasizing overall profitability through new sales and account penetration. Promote and sell company-branded products and meet brand sales objectives. May also support customer service activities for regional and/or national chain customers, thereby increasing the company’s visibility in the marketplace and maximizing market share. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company. Job Responsibilities
Generate additional business by analyzing sales territory and individual customers; sample products with existing and potential customers; plan general sales strategy, including time and territory management; plan sales approach with individual customers; and conduct effective sales presentations. Grow sales and profit margins continuously to meet established sales and margin goals. Set up new customer accounts by determining pricing; work with the Credit Department for initial authorization; and coordinate with other center personnel for scheduling order‐taking, deliveries, etc. Perform initial follow‑up work with customers to ensure delivery and product satisfaction. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing an exemplary level of service. Work closely with other center personnel to coordinate efforts to prevent and resolve customer problems. May be personally responsible for making deliveries in emergencies. Build additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize the profitability of individual accounts. Minimize accounts receivable problems by monitoring accounts for compliance with credit terms and following up on any issues. Maintain awareness of pricing trends within the sales territory, particularly market‑driven / commodity products, to ensure competitive pricing. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 6‑12 months food or beverage sales experience Valid Driver’s License Seniority level: Entry level Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Sales and Business Development Industries: Food and Beverage Services
