Job Summary
Compensation:
$76,600 - $107,200 + commission
The
Branch Sales Manager
is tasked with identifying prospective customers, fostering and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships, and driving both sales and profitability for the branch. Success in this role involves developing and training a cohesive team that embodies and supports IDI’s culture and Core Values, ensuring the branch operates efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility is the profitable growth of IDI sales, focusing on both top‑line and bottom‑line growth.
Retain current customers while developing new ones, ensuring profitable growth and excellent customer service.
Oversee branch operations, including safety, inventories, turnover, and employee retention.
Develop and mentor branch personnel (Sales, DC Manager, Drivers, operations staff) with a focus on long‑term retention and customer service culture.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed and in full compliance with corporate directives.
Deploy training programs for safety, customer service, and product knowledge.
Conduct annual sales forecasting and budgeting, and monthly P&L reviews with the Regional Director.
Assure proper training of all staff and provide direct supervision of the DC Manager and Sales Representatives.
Manage inventory, including branch inventory turnover, weekly, monthly, and annual counts, and limit dead inventory.
Act as a liaison between the branch and corporate office, fully executing all corporate directives.
Maintain an active role in the overall health and strength of the branch office.
Perform other duties as beneficial to IDI.

Qualifications
Proven results in the sale of building materials.
Ability to develop new business and meet deadlines.
Ability to build long‑lasting relationships with vendors, customers, and sales staff.
Strong planning, time management, and organizational skills.
Strategic planning, sales management, negotiation, and vendor management experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Detail‑oriented with ability to focus on individual and team goals.
Ability to travel less than 10% of the time.
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related experience.
5+ years in sales, preference for insulation or building materials experience.
