Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in new home sales management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering results. The General Sales Manager is responsible for the overall performance and direction of our sales operations, driving growth and ensuring customer satisfaction from initial inquiry to closing.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and oversee sales strategies to achieve company sales goals and market share objectives.

Hire, train, mentor, and manage the sales team, including Sales Consultants and support staff.

Set individual and team sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and provide regular coaching and performance feedback.

Analyze local market trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Collaborate with marketing, construction, and design teams to ensure alignment, timely inventory turnover, and effective promotion of product offerings.

Oversee model home presentation and customer experience standards in sales offices and communities.

Manage customer relations, addressing escalated issues and ensuring consistently high satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Prepare regular sales forecasts, market analyses, and activity reports for senior leadership.

Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, mortgage lending guidelines, and local real estate laws and regulations.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in new home sales, including team management and leadership roles (production homebuilding preferred).

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

Proven sales achievement and the ability to coach and motivate a team.

Strong understanding of new home construction processes, real estate market dynamics, and home financing options.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales analytics.
