Outside Sales Representative Base pay range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year DOE.

Responsibilities

Drive new business and account growth across an assigned Midwest territory.

Sell industrial equipment and aftermarket parts, including capital equipment and repeat parts programs.

Prospect power plants, manufacturing facilities, utilities, engineering firms, and contractors.

Conduct in-person plant visits, product presentations, and technical discussions.

Manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification to close.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, principals, and internal teams.

Follow RMB’s sales playbook to target plants and key decision-makers.

Maintain product and manufacturer knowledge to recommend the right solutions.

Track pipeline activity, forecasts, and customer interactions in HubSpot CRM.

Participate in territory reviews and team sales calls.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating with principals and inside sales as needed.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of B2B sales experience in industrial, manufacturing, or utility markets.

Proven ability to sell technical or engineered products.

Comfort selling into long, complex sales cycles as well as quick-turn opportunities.

Strong relationship-building skills with engineers, plant managers, and procurement teams.

Ability to work independently and manage a large, diverse territory.

Proficiency with basic business tools.

High school diploma required.

Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest.

Experience selling capital equipment, valves, boilers, power plant equipment, or MRO products preferred.

Familiarity with power generation, ethanol, pulp & paper, steel, cement, food & beverage, or utility plants preferred.

HubSpot or CRM experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
