Regional Sales Manager - Pacific Northwest USA
Remote position based in the Pacific Northwest (North California, Washington State, Oregon) with domestic travel and regular customer site visits.
Who are we? Riedel Communications, founded in 1987, designs, manufactures and distributes innovative real-time networks for IP, Video, Audio, and Communications. Our products are used worldwide in broadcast, pro‑audio, event, sports, theatre, and security applications. The company is known for pioneering digital audio matrix systems and fiber‑based real‑time network technology.
Your Areas Of Responsibilities
Develop and maintain client relationships continuously.
Focus on sales, capture market share, track and achieve territory sales quota.
Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information that influences sales growth and profitability.
Act as the voice and vision of Riedel Communications in the territory.
Maintain the company’s database management program for the territory daily.
Take on special projects as assigned.
Coordinate product demonstrations, evaluations, and proof of concept demos with the appropriate technical service department.
Provide sales and product education for Riedel’s resellers and coordinate end‑user training “Riedel Tuesday” and beyond with the Technical Services Department regularly.
Sell to end users in coordination and determine direct fulfillment or partnership options based on customer preference.
Implement and maintain a regional sales plan.
Lead sales presentations and conduct monthly business reviews with customers and channel partners using company‑provided reports and tools.
Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
Track sales pipeline and bookings against quota and other metrics.
Leverage strategic relationships and business partnerships to drive revenue.
Represent Riedel at regional trade shows.
Relationship Management:
Manage, develop, and own productive relationships with key personnel across all customers in the region.
Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
Cross functional collaboration:
Coordinate involvement of company personnel (support, service, and management resources) to meet customer expectations.
Coordinate corporate resources (technical, service, and support) with customer objectives.
Your Profile
Excellent communicator and active listener, able to understand and build relationships.
Socially perceptive, aware of nonverbal cues, able to adjust negotiations accordingly.
Completed (technical) university studies, e.g., industrial engineering or a combination of business and technology.
Relevant, proven “system” sales experience for manufacturing and system integration.
Understanding of the nature and demands of Broadcast, Entertainment, and all other Riedel markets.
Working knowledge of technologies sold by Riedel Communications.
Proven experience working with upscale companies, venues, clients, and channel partners in the assigned territory.
Proficient presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Effective communication and dissemination of information to sales management, marketing department, sales operations, and technical services.
Appreciates the importance of database management programs such as Salesforce.
Immediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce or similar sales management package.
Spanish as a second language is a plus.
