Responsibilities
Provide leadership to regional sales representatives within an assigned geography, driving sales efforts to achieve revenue targets and expense objectives while adhering to CSL Behring Core Values.
Develop sales representatives through effective coaching and support.
Work closely with the Senior Director of Field Sales to establish strategic and tactical approaches for the region consistent with corporate plans.
Actively participate as a member of the Regional Management team.
Meet regional sales goals by maximizing sales and minimizing expenses, constantly raising expectations of team performance, motivating and supporting team efforts while adhering to CSL Behring Core Values.
Oversee selling efforts in the region by managing representatives, providing feedback, direction, and development guidance to help team excel in current and future positions.
Field time expectation is 60% of time in the field, coaching representatives; follow‑up field contact reports will be provided as a feedback mechanism.
Work closely with Marketing to support implementation of marketing programs for sales products.
Allocate regional budgets to support marketing programs.
Manage day‑to‑day sales function decisions, deploying resources, allocating costs, directing activities, analyzing information to identify key issues, and committing to action after weighing alternatives.
Secure important customers through high‑level contacts. Improve customer service and satisfaction via flexibility, innovation, and improvement techniques.
Coordinate regional activities with other Regional Sales Managers, Sr. Directors of Field Sales, Sales Training and Marketing, Medical Affairs and Customer Service.
Ensure field utilization of CRM system to track and monitor sales activity and results and enhance the region’s 360 view of the customer.
Analyze marketplace, recommend actions to increase market share, and qualify new business opportunities.
Consistently keep the organization’s mission, vision, and values at the forefront of regional actions.
Encourage and support team efforts to meet challenging goals.
Travel: 60% required within a large geography.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business field.
6‑8 years experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry with focus on sales and/or marketing.
3+ years field sales experience.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical market and regulations.
Demonstrated leadership/team management experience.
