Summary of Position: The Group Sales Coordinator for Crooked Hammock Brewery is a key driver of growth, hospitality, and community connection, especially as we prepare to open our newest location in Raleigh in Spring 2026! This role sits at the heart of our quickly expanding brand, bringing energy, creativity, and a passion for people to every interaction. The Group Sales Coordinator will lead the charge on all things sales and group dining, creating memorable experiences for guests while building strong, lasting relationships throughout the local Raleigh market. They will serve as the link between the Hammock and the community—cultivating partnerships, identifying outreach opportunities, and helping Crooked Hammock become a beloved, go-to destination from day one. This person brings enthusiasm, hustle, and a love for connecting with others. Their work will help drive revenue, elevate brand visibility, and cement our presence in the Triangle through genuine engagement and hospitality-first sales strategy.
Duties & Responsibilities
Seek and procure ongoing group sales & sales opportunities through phone calls, visits, inquiries, and networking with local businesses and surrounding areas
Welcome and greet in-coming private event guest enquiries
Proactively network; attend networking and industry events
Negotiate with client to achieve maximum profit while satisfying guest needs
Develop client base through prospecting, neighborhood outreach and lead generation
Coordinate with Operations and Culinary team to create accurate Booking Event Order (BEO) forms
Support in the development of Revenue Yield Management sales and Free‑Sell policy
Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure consistent messaging between Sales & Marketing, Operations and Culinary departments
Create and manage a database of contacts & leverage professional networking tools and relationships to grow the Hammock brand and increase the number of opportunities presented to us
Enforce standards of uniform, punctuality and hygiene
Be a team leader and delegate to staff as needed
Create and maintain event timelines and be accountable for all catering aspects of the event
Obtain payments and gratuities and process appropriately
Live as a brand ambassador for the Hammock and make decisions in the best interest of the company at all times
Qualifications
2+ years’ sales experience in a hospitality setting
College degree preferred but not required; combination of education/experience may be considered
Strong interpersonal communication skills required
Must be organized, punctual, reliable and efficient
Must possess ability to meet deadlines
Superb customer service skills with demonstrated ability to lead a group
Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to work in the United States
Must have a hospitality soul with passion, strong communication & organizational skills
Compensation This position offers an uncapped earning structure, paying a base hourly rate ($20-22/hr) plus commission, and awesome employee perks.
