Position Summary The Compliance Specialist plays a key role in supporting the Mortgage Division's regulatory and operational integrity. This position is responsible for managing disclosure processes, maintaining communication with branch teams, and assisting with internal compliance inquiries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to ensuring timely and accurate compliance practices.
Key Responsibilities
Disclosure Management – Prepare and send initial and revised mortgage disclosures in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal timelines. Review disclosure packages for accuracy and completeness prior to delivery.
Pipeline Monitoring and Branch Communication – Monitor the disclosure pipeline to ensure deadlines are met. Communicate regularly with branch personnel regarding due dates and outstanding items. Identify and escalate potential delays or compliance risks to the Compliance Manager.
Email and Inquiry Support – Assist in managing the Compliance Department's email inbox. Respond to internal questions related to disclosures and compliance procedures. Coordinate with other departments to resolve issues and maintain workflow efficiency.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
12 years of experience in mortgage operations or compliance preferred.
Working knowledge of TRID, RESPA, TILA, and other mortgage-related regulations.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and mortgage software system.
