Spore
About us
Spore.Bio
is a deeptech start-up born in 2023, building a new paradigm in the quality control systems in Food&Beverage, Cosmetics, and Pharmaceutics factories.
After spending a lot of time in factories environments, we saw the pain it was to make sure products were safe. Traditional
quality control
has heavy constraints and long waiting times. To change that, we decided to build Spore.Bio, a
new generation of microbiological testing.
Our team is dedicated to
bringing technology
and developing a cutting‑edge solution, based on advanced optical and deep‑learning technologies, to detect bacterial contamination within seconds.
Your ability to
communicate concisely
the client’s needs, while clearly explaining our product in an accessible and intelligible way, will be essential. You will be the bridge between customer feedback and our internal teams, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement of the product.
About the role You will be one of the
cornerstones of deploying
our technology in industrial environments.
Your work will alternate between
on‑site visits (factories, client labs)
and
hands‑on lab work at Spore , where you’ll help validate and improve microbiological protocols.
Your responsibilities:
Deploy our technology on‑site and support users until full autonomy
Validate microbiological results (identification, cultures, matrix processing)
Train operators and improve on‑site practices
Act as the
bridge between our clients needs and the R&D team
Support lab activities focused on matrix protocol innovation for our technology
Troubleshoot and provide concrete, creative solutions to field challenges
Interact regularly with
senior managers in major international companies
What we’re looking for
Solid background in
applied microbiology
(culture, identification, microscopy, sample processing)
Curious, hands‑on, resourceful, and
field‑oriented
Eagerness to discover
new technologies and IA
(microscopy, image analysis, machine learning)
Able to
synthesize, document, and communicate
clearly
Strong
client‑facing skills
and professional demeanor
Organized, autonomous, and willing to travel
Fluent in English
(spoken and written), essential for working with global clients
Why this job is exciting :
A
key role
in the development of a cutting‑edge biotech startup
No routine : a rich balance of field missions, lab work, and innovation
Direct and concrete/real impact on product quality and customer satisfaction
Opportunities to
travel
and meet industrial leaders around the world
Join a
tight‑knit, passionate, ambitious team
Recruitment process
30‑min call with the Hiring Manager

1 hour Founders interview
You might also be invited to meet other team members at the office for a lab visit and a coffee !
This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives on curiosity and has a genuine passion for technology. If you enjoy taking on challenges and solving complex problems, this role will provide the perfect environment for growth and impact. The ideal candidate is someone who is self‑driven, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to shaping the future of microbiology monitoring.
