Event & Catering Sales Manager
Location: Dallas, TX
Salary: $105,000.00 – $130,000.00
Job Summary The Event Sales Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding company budgeted sales goals by identifying and soliciting new business relationships and maintaining established relationships to produce cost‑beneficial events for the restaurant. Responsibilities include selling events across six Texas restaurant locations, developing client relationships, and ensuring profitable events.
Duties & Responsibilities
Experience in catering and events sales in the Texas market, with a rolodex of previously booked business contacts and ties to the local community.
Solicit private/corporate events for 6 Texas restaurant locations to meet or exceed budgeted sales goals.
Respond to incoming leads in a timely and professional manner.
Consult with clients to determine the objectives and requirements for events.
Plan and execute all aspects of booked events.
Prepare and send formal written proposals based on client’s specifications.
Assign group function space effectively to maximize revenue opportunities.
Meet with current and potential clients, conducting onsite showings and inspections to promote facilities and services.
Ensure events in reserve are updated and closed upon completion.
Complete weekly sales forecasting and sales effort reports.
Work with restaurant management to ensure all events are accurately costed and deliver profit at company‑agreed margins.
Monitor event activities to ensure client satisfaction and resolve problems that arise.
Maintain menus, information packets, standard guest emails, terms and conditions, manager/chef briefs, briefing sheets, filing, and follow‑up systems.
Create menus in collaboration with Marketing team and onsite Chef to align with customer preferences, branding, and trends.
Partner with Marketing department to support local marketing efforts, generate new catering opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with current and past clients.
Manage complete billing process for events.
Attend offsite networking events to build clientele, in addition to weekly local outreach.
Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Valid Driver’s License & Clean MVR.
Minimum of 21 years of age.
Possession of or ability to possess all state required work cards.
Minimum of four (4) years related experience.
Proficiency with Windows MS Office, OpenTable, Outlook, and GATHER.
Result‑driven with the ability to meet or exceed budgeted sales goals.
Knowledge of profitability analysis and budgeting, cost of sales, payroll management, purchasing, receiving, inventories and cost controls.
Knowledge of state and local laws as it applies to liquor, labor, and health code regulations.
Experience with POS systems and back‑office reporting systems.
Familiarity with beer and spirits.
Proper lifting techniques.
Guest relations.
Sanitation and safety.
Safe alcohol service.
Full‑service restaurant operations.
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public.
Working Conditions
Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
Work in an environment with varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke depending on guest volume.
Fast‑paced, high‑volume, full‑service restaurant.
Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements

Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
