Position Overview The Home Health Account Executive is responsible for marketing to doctors’ offices, hospitals, nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and various communities and organizations to achieve the company’s financial and market share goals. The role includes identifying and educating potential customers and referral sources about the company’s services, establishing trusted relationships with referral sources and in‑house staff, continually prospecting for new accounts while maintaining existing ones, and complying with all sales‑related policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

Be visible in the community by educating and presenting to referral sources such as skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and physician/doctors’ offices.

Conduct in‑services, presentations, educational luncheons, and host or attend relevant events to introduce home‑health care services to physicians, patients, families, facility staff, and other referral sources.

Maintain autonomy and flexibility with a schedule focused largely on field work.

Promote professional relationships with physicians, health facilities, and other customers to improve the agency’s community position.

Consult regularly with the Administrator on all aspects of marketing and sales activities.

Develop, implement, and evaluate all marketing and sales activities for company services.

Interact with Directors and Supervisors regarding account maintenance.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with referral sources through ongoing assessment.

Coordinate and complete on‑site discharge planning when needed.

Design a regular visitation schedule to all referral sources within the geographically defined market area.

Develop sales strategy.

Requirements

At least 2 years of healthcare sales experience (plus experience in Home Health is a plus).

Established community relationships, connections, and referrals.

Excellent people and relationship skills with referral sources, patients, families, and the general public.

Strong presentation and communication skills (verbally and in writing).

Ability to work well independently as well as in groups.

Enthusiastic, highly motivated, self‑starter, genuine, empathetic, problem‑solving skills.

Knowledgeable regarding standards of practice for all services offered.

Valid and current driver’s license and evidence of automobile insurance.

Ability to travel to multiple job sites and attend required meetings.

Strong critical thinking and strategic sales skills.
