Medication Assistant
Shift:
7 AM – 3 PM
Experience Senior Living Pay Range Base pay: $18.00/hr – $18.00/hr. Salary is based on skills and experience and can be discussed with the recruiter.
Experience Senior Living Team The Experience Senior Living Team is comprised of dynamic professionals fueled by their passion to empower people as they grow older to live life to the fullest. Responsibilities
Provide medication reminders and/or assistance according to state regulations
Administer medications as allowed by state guidelines
Order and receive medication, ensuring all medications are available for administration and communicating with pharmacy if not
Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to residents as requests and needs change
Maintain resident records in our digital platform daily, including medication distribution, incidents, and observations, reporting any changes in residents’ physical and/or behavioral condition
Perform room visits and room checks on a regular basis
Assist with resident care when needed
Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends
Monitor the safety and well‑being of residents and communicate any changes to Director of Health and Wellness or Wellness Nurse on duty
Audit and check rooms for medications residents are self‑administering and ensure compliance to guidelines
Maintain open communication with supervisor and/or peers to promote awareness of resident issues
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma or 2–4 years of related experience/training or equivalent education/experience combination
Medication certification as required by state guidelines
Successful completion of ESL medication competency upon hire and as required by state regulation at a minimum
First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law and/or company standards
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; spoke effectively to customers or employees of the organization
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Appearance neat, clean, and according to dress code
Demonstrate a high level of service delivery and hospitality; address service failures and prioritize customer needs
Communicate clearly, read and interpret complex information, listen well
Work cooperatively with a group to achieve goals and objectives
Build credibility and rapport while maintaining confidentiality and an ethical work environment
Adapt to varying customer needs and manage transitions from task to task
Ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays
