Opportunity Summary The Food Service Sales Representative is responsible for successfully managing existing customer accounts and establishing new opportunities to achieve annual sales objectives. The role manages current customer relationships, prospecting, and engaging new customers, partners with management for budget planning, and works with Area Operations to sell open machine capacity and value-added services, supporting cross-functional teams to ensure sales strategy execution.

How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock

Define account vision and growth plan for targeted customers.

Identify pricing dynamics within accounts to inform commercial decisions.

Articulate sales vision and strategy, manage prospects, and build a robust pipeline.

Meet or exceed budgeted and volume sales goals.

Utilize Salesforce.com to manage opportunities and pipeline.

Navigate customer organizational structures and build multi-level relationships.

Manage contractual relationships and negotiate multi-year contracts.

Deliver results through weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Drive commercial excellence to exceed area volume and profit goals.

Leverage internal resources for market and competition knowledge.

Monitor profitability against budgeted targets and analyze financial summaries.

Understand market dynamics to shape long-term strategies.

Build relationships with other facilities to create revenue opportunities.

Qualify prospective customers per sales strategy.

Collaborate across functions for strategy execution and margin improvement.

Manage customer engagement to meet contractual obligations and satisfaction.

What You Need To Succeed

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2-5+ years of B2B sales experience (manufacturing/service industry preferred).

Experience in sales execution and pipeline management.

Ability to influence across functions.

Ability to create and deliver engaging presentations.

Demonstrated sales competence and financial acumen.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).

Experience with Salesforce.com.

Reporting tools such as Power BI or QlikView.

The salary range for this position is $110,625.00 - $184,375.00, depending on role, level, and location. This range is also the expected pay for roles in Illinois and Colorado. Benefits include a short‑term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, FSA/HSA, retirement plans, life and disability insurance programs, paid sick leave as required by applicable law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
