POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs the assigned Facilities Management services and staff, employing appropriate management concepts, techniques, and tools. Efficiently and effectively manages department resources: staff, schedules, supplies, equipment, chemicals, inventory and storage control. Applies sound fiscal and productivity programs that comply with procurement policies and practices. Directly responsible for ensuring the hospital’s central plant is fully operational. Maintains good guest, professional and working relations. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in an Architectural/Engineering or related field, preferably Mechanical or Electrical, plus a minimum two (2) years supervisory experience is required. Candidates with ten (10) or more years of supervisory experience in physical plant / civil engineering and health care activities may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors degree. Experience must include general knowledge of central utility plant equipment (chiller, steam boilers, hydraulic systems, building controls, electrical, and air handlers) in a critical building environment.
