Reporting to the Associate Director, the Community Engagement Manager is responsible for assisting in the successful delivery of the Centre’s community engagement events, programs and initiatives. This role involves resource allocation, supporting the program’s lead, providing administrative assistance, and helping to ensure the operational success and communication of the Centre’s engagement activities.

The Community Engagement Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of programs, including but not limited to regional workshops such as the Regional Business Series (previous workshops held in Alice Springs – Mparntwe, Shepparton – Kanny Goopna, Broome – Rubibi, and Yarrabah), as well as any new programs developed by the Centre. Responsibilities will include:Implement Engagement Plans: Support the implementation of community engagement plans aligned with Dilin Duwa's strategy, managing risks and reporting outcomes. Have a degree or relevant experience in a large, complex service-oriented environment. Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrate experience in developing and sustaining community relationships and partnerships. Have a track record in negotiating community engagement initiatives.Exhibit high-level organisational and time management skills. Cultural leave: Indigenous staff members are entitled to up to five days non-cumulative paid leave per calendar year for the purpose of attending NAIDOC, community, cultural and ceremonial activities.
