The START Center for Cancer Research (START) is the world’s largest early phase site network, fully dedicated to oncology clinical research. We are hiring a
Manager, Proposal Management (Remote)
who will oversee the development, submission, and management of data requests, quotes, proposals, requests for information (RFI), and requests for proposals (RFPs) for XenoSTART. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with client requirements and to produce high quality, compelling proposals that lead to sales and revenue growth. This is a remote role. The annual base salary for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 + Bonus. However, base pay may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Responsibilities
Proposal Development and Management: Manage the proposal development process from start to finish, including writing, editing, and reviewing proposals, RFIs, and RFPs.
Support any bid defense as required.
Provide overall RFI and RFP insights, while developing improvement initiatives for strategic planning to win projects.
Lead and analyze bid documents for study requirements and technical capabilities.
Maintain an archive of documents for all presentation materials.
Maintain a database of bid KPIs for ongoing improvements and metrics.
Maintain time deadlines and ensure quality of the deliverable.
Design, develop, implement, and manage all processes, tools, systems, and template initiatives, with ongoing global proposal reviews.
Ensure high-quality, client-focused proposals, budgets, and client grids are delivered for new business opportunities with accuracy and within timelines.
Keep Senior Management informed of proposal preparation status, escalating any issues or concerns.
Develop and maintain proposal templates and libraries for consistency and efficiency.
Collaborate with science, finance, operations, regulatory, and legal teams to gather necessary information for proposal accuracy.
Facilitate initiation of SOW and contracts process.
Maintain the current and version-controlled XenoSTART rate card and pricing tiers for key account segments.
Reporting and Process Improvement
Report weekly on KPIs.
Provide process leadership and ownership of proposal management.
Conduct ongoing analysis to evaluate proposal effectiveness for future submission improvements.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
3 years of experience in proposal management.
Experience in the Life Sciences industry.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal/written communication skills.
Strong project management abilities with attention to detail.
Proficiency in proposal software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems (HubSpot).
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience in the Pre-Clinical Oncology space.
Experience working at a CRO or a Site Network.
Physical and Travel Requirements
Required to travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
Frequent use of computer, keyboard, and mouse.
