Responsibilities

Oversee all daily operations within the Fresh Juice and Prepared Produce section, including cut fruit, packaged produce, and juiced items.

Lead the department in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining fresh and full displays, executing production schedules, and upholding food safety and sanitation standards.

Train, support, and hold team members accountable while collaborating with the Produce Manager and Store Leadership to meet department goals and margin targets.

Execute daily par levels, manage prep guides, ensure consistent product availability, and monitor product rotation and labeling to maintain food safety and freshness.

Maintain proper use of cut gloves, knife safety, and adherence to sanitation protocols.

Collaborate with the Produce Manager on ordering, inventory control, and scheduling.

Support team members in delivering knowledgeable, friendly service to all customers and uphold all Plum Market policies, food safety procedures, and standard operating practices.

Qualifications

Experience leading or supervising a team in a retail or food production setting.

Strong knowledge of produce handling, rotation, food safety, and merchandising.

Ability to meet departmental margin, labor, and shrink targets.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.

Ability to bend, stoop, grasp objects, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, and push/pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs unassisted.
