POSITION SUMMARY JAYCO Chemical Solutions is looking to hire an ambitious sales professional to assume a Local Sales Territory with excellent growth potential. Responsible for growing and maintaining business in this region, the role requires a successful history of cold‑calling, prospecting, and creating new business.

The Local Sales Representative will work as part of the JAYCO sales and growth team to maintain and increase business while improving JAYCO’s cleaning/finishing chemical programs to our client base. Sales Representatives focus on providing value‑added process solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment focused on solving customer problems. The representative demonstrates the company’s core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity & ethics, learning & safety, and passion to succeed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Create new business growth through prospecting in a large market with market‑share upside.

Manage key accounts of mid‑size and large accounts with an opportunity for increased wallet share with existing customers.

Manage and maintain an existing account base and grow sales in other value‑added manufactured products in the company’s product offering including cleaning equipment.

Problem‑solve and sell value‑added processes with a focus on winning and retaining customers and repeat consumable business.

Strong customer emphasis on reducing total costs, improving production quality, and achieving health, safety and environmental objectives.

Effectively communicate customer needs and requirements to all functional areas of the company to ensure that efforts are coordinated, resulting in rapid organic sales growth.

Collaborate with the R&D technical team to develop selling opportunities and account management.

Travel to current and prospective customers to develop relationships and grow sales.

New sales professionals receive thorough training and mentoring to support success.

Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Associate or bachelor’s degree (degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field a plus).

2+ years of sales experience in the industrial or chemical market preferred.

Proven effectiveness in prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering effective presentations.

Demonstrated ability to build and manage long‑term customer relationships.

High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow.

Strong consultation, negotiation, problem‑resolution, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to understand new product lines and utilize knowledge to fulfill customer needs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Professionally developed sales and territory management skills.

Ability to travel daily, with up to 25% overnight travel.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Ability to perform technical/mechanical on‑site testing.
