As a Relationship Banking Manager , you will lead by example, guiding your branch team to deliver exceptional service, foster customer relationships, and achieve branch objectives. Your role will blend operational expertise, team development, and customer engagement, ensuring compliance and upholding our commitment to trust and integrity.
What You’ll Do:
Leadership and Team Development:
Attract, retain, and support the career development of branch talent. Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to foster a positive and growth-oriented team culture.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily branch operations, including cash audits, ATM balancing, and compliance with cash limits. Ensure accuracy in branch balancing and adherence to regulatory standards.
Customer-Centric Service:
Build meaningful relationships with customers by proactively identifying financial needs, resolving complaints, and delivering tailored solutions while handling sensitive business and customer information with the utmost confidentiality.
Sales and Cross‑Selling:
Leverage expert knowledge of Kentland Bank’s products and services to identify opportunities to cross‑sell and support inside sales efforts, promoting customer satisfaction and branch growth.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure strict adherence to banking regulations, oversee branch DDRETS and overdraft systems, and monitor fraud prevention efforts, including debit card systems and Regulation E compliance.
Administrative Oversight:
Manage branch schedules, verify timekeeping, review and approve invoices, and maintain accurate customer and branch records, including death files and fiduciary accounts.
Technical Knowledge:
Demonstrate proficiency in Mobile Deposit, ACH, Bill Pay, online platforms, and wire authorizations, providing support to both staff and customers.
Community Engagement:
Represent Kentland Bank in the community by fostering relationships and participating in branch‑sponsored events and initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience or equivalent.
Excellent management, human resource, and communication skills (verbal and written).
Experience in a direct customer service position required.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain the integrity of highly confidential customer and bank information; ability to deal effectively with time pressures and stress.
