1115 Waiver Housing Advocate

Pay Range Base: $22.00/hr – $22.00/hr
Overview As a Case Manager with a housing focus under the 1115 Waiver Program, you will serve as a Housing Advocate for Catholic Charities of Delaware, Otsego, and Schoharie Counties, supporting individuals facing housing challenges and helping them find stability.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive housing support to eligible households under the 1115 Waiver, documenting services accurately in the Unite Us platform.
Assist with pre‑tenancy services: rental applications, lease negotiations, new housing unit onboarding, financial assistance, and ensuring living environments meet client needs.
Stay informed on policies, eligibility, and documentation for programs such as Temporary Assistance, Public Assistance, Section 8 Housing, Rental Assistance, SSI/SSDI, SNAP, HEAP, and other relevant resources.
Guide and advocate to help clients negotiate expanded benefits and represent them in conferences and hearings.
Assist clients in securing stable housing, including outreach to landlords, establishing partnerships, and locating affordable housing options.
Schedule Monday – Wednesday, Friday 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Thursday 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM (35 hours per week)
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field.
1–3 years of experience in mental health, substance use, or human services.
