Outside Account Manager (Columbus)

Base Pay Range $69,800 – $87,100
Targeted Annual Commission $21,600
Key Responsibilities
Manage portfolio to meet sales and productivity goals across parts and service products.
Build and nurture relationships with dealership management to secure commitment to plans.
Create awareness and communicate key initiatives and program value.
Implement Dealer Tire solutions that match dealership needs and communicate value.
Develop and deliver market review plans to identify outcomes and future needs.
Communicate strategy, goals, and expected action plans to drive results internally and externally.
Collaborate with the operational team for pre‑commitment, in‑dealership, and post‑meeting follow‑up.
Diagnose, analyze, and develop action plans to improve dealership performance.
Develop business through collaboration with OEM regional contacts and program resources.
Maintain consistent monthly contact schedule with dealers.
Track all activity and account information in Salesforce.
Submit contact reports, forecasts, itineraries, and expense reports to sales management.
Operational Management
Coordinate activities and engage operational roles to meet dealership needs.
Diagnose opportunities and determine investment and ROI for each dealership.
Implement processes and elements across the service lane.
Drive service advisor effectiveness and overall retail strategies through coaching and training.
Identify training needs of dealership staff.
Assist dealerships with Effective Selling Strategy through strategies and tactics.
Conduct market competitive shop and analysis to provide price information and positioning.
Work with Service Manager and Parts Manager to determine product screen and set competitive pricing.
Analyze inventory and collaborate to determine product mix and inventory levels.
Optimize merchandising components with the dealership.
Share industry trends and best practices for continuous improvement.
Use data and analytics to review performance and facilitate meetings.
Resolve customer service issues related to any account activity.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience in retail automotive operations or related environment.
Prior experience selling and project managing a book of business.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Full understanding of all sales process aspects (inventory, inspection, training, selling/retaining) and ability to negotiate and close deals.
Excellent communication with dealership and Dealer Tire internal stakeholders.
Located in assigned territory.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong critical thinking and ability to add value quickly.
Strong customer relationship skills with ability to sell at the top.

Extensive driving and traveling to customer accounts (up to 80%).
