The Sales Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Store Management staff in maximizing sales, providing an exceptional shopping experience for the customer and managing the store in accordance with the company visual and operational standards. The Sales Supervisor assumes responsibility for the operations of a store as “Manager-on-Duty” in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. This opportunity is based in our Madison Ave location.
Responsibilities
Assume Manager’s role in supervising staff in the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
Strive for sales excellence and results.
Ensure selling standards are met.
Work with customers and model excellent customer service and clienteling skills.
Maximize sales through strong floor supervision.
Associate Development
Ensure associates are trained on product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service and operations.
Provide information and feedback for Sales Associates.
Team sells with Sales Associates to contribute to the development of the selling team.
Operational Excellence
Control company’s assets, i.e. key control, loss prevention measures, inventory paperwork, and company standards of conduct per the employee handbook.
Strive for 100% accuracy and compliance in cash, inventory, fixtures and property.
Store Standards
Help execute floor-set and promotional directives.
Work as a member of the team to insure all store standards are met.
Understand, support and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Merchandising / Visual
Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual image at all times.
Ensure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction.
Fashion / Styling
Represent the fashion and style of Veronica Beard.
Possess knowledge of current fashion trends and styles.
Appreciate and demonstrate an overall finished fashion look.
Physical Demands
Operate computer/cash register.
Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist and climb ladders 6-12 feet.
Simple grasping, pushing, lifting and/or carrying items weighing 3-15 pounds.
Work Environment
Create a quality working environment that encourages others to develop and excel.
Foster a work climate that inspires mutual trust, respect, professionalism and teamwork to achieve goals.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years retail store management experience in women’s apparel (or related field).
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Strong verbal and communication skills (Spanish speaking is a plus).
Strong observation skills – identifying and assessing customer and employee behavior, reactions, and floor awareness.
Ability to retain and utilize data, i.e. names, merchandise, information, policies and procedures.
The base hourly range for this role is between
$19.00
and
$21.00 . Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, a short‑term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts.
