Purpose of the Job The position is responsible for designing, developing, and executing a sales strategy for increasing sales and profits through small, medium and large accounts within a territory. This sales manager must reside in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota or Western Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities
Communicates the company value proposition through engaging presentations and conversational meetings, leading with hardware while developing/facilitating customer relationships and creating opportunities with territory accounts.
Provides timely, accurate and complete sales reports and forecasts, and updates sales opportunities in the Salesforce system.
Engages and leverages effective relationships with internal resources and industry partners to create opportunities and further drive solution‑based sales.
Manages programs from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer and company resources on technical and business issues.
This position requires up to 75% travel.
Education & Experiences
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related discipline preferred, but not required.
Seasoned sales experience with an understanding of multiple products and services and their interoperability.
Skills & Knowledge
Solid understanding of business, financials, markets, and the needs of the customer.
Understanding of moderately complex solutions and how to identify the value proposition for each.
Ability to articulate product portfolios and their connectivity for a solution.
Resource Manager: Recognizes organizational constraints, builds rapport, resolves issues and creates solutions, building consensus with partners.
Strategic Thinking: Understands how the value of hardware, services, integration, software, and go‑to‑market fit into the overall direction.
Execute with Passion: Works independently, persists in pursuing goals, takes repeated actions to overcome obstacles, and evaluates objectives to align with company and customer strategies.
Leadership: Promotes cooperation among peers, develops trust, mentors, and participates in business decisions beyond immediate responsibilities.
