Counter Sales Representative – NexaMotion Group Join our team as a Counter Sales Representative. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with automotive parts needs and driving sales at our counter.

Base Pay Range $18.00/hr – $18.00/hr

Responsibilities

Assist customers in determining and selecting appropriate parts; provide price quotes and other parts information.

Inform customers of specials and companion part requirements, ensuring exposure to the full product line.

Represent the branch in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner in all customer and coworker interactions.

Fill parts orders from stock; notify manager of out‑of‑stock items or materials requiring immediate attention.

Locate out‑of‑stock parts from external sources and submit emergency orders as necessary.

Notify customers of receipt of special order parts; inform them of order arrival and delivery date.

Verify will‑call and back orders weekly; return to vendors and follow up on back orders.

Provide customers with invoices; receive payment for retail purchases; obtain credit authorizations or required signatures for charge sales.

Issue credits for returned parts after verifying purchase and pricing by reviewing original invoice.

Participate in annual physical inventory.

Assist Branch Manager with maintaining lost sales tracking program.

Keep work area clean and free of clutter; perform weekly branch cleaning with staff.

Stay informed of new products and product updates.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven customer service or sales experience.

Proficiency in computer systems and point‑of‑sale systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Customer service or counter sales experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

Familiarity with automotive parts catalogs and inventory management systems.

Skills & Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical information to customers.

Strong problem‑solving abilities and customer‑focused mindset.

Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast‑paced environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and data entry.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Enthusiasm for automobiles and genuine interest in the automotive aftermarket industry.

Work Environment The role is fast‑paced and dynamic, primarily in a retail or wholesale setting interacting directly with customers, collaborating with colleagues, and meeting sales targets. The setting may involve exposure to automotive parts, equipment, and tools. Depending on the location, work may be indoors at a sales counter or showroom, with occasional outdoor tasks such as loading and unloading merchandise. Flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate peak business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

Stand for extended periods.

Lift and carry automotive parts or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Bend, stoop, reach, and handle merchandise.

Use manual dexterity to operate cash registers, computers, and handheld devices.

Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues verbally and in writing.
