TTI, Inc. Our growing business is in need of a Field Sales Representative to increase sales in our New Jersey market. The Field Sales Representative sells company products and services to assigned customers in territory. Responsibilities include three primary objectives: creating sales, defending sales, and penetrating sales, for existing and potential customers. Responsibilities
Sells company products and services by generating leads and calling on assigned customer accounts, delivering samples, product line cards and sales literature to customers and prospective customers to establish relationships and win product orders to achieve sales objectives. Establishes and maintains effective business rapport with customer’s purchasing and management staff by ensuring all aspects of transactions are handled professionally, ethically, and timely, resulting in TTI being viewed as the distributor of choice and getting the first call on the business. Pursues new business leads using available resources to penetrate and secure new business, expanding the customer base and potential sales. Facilitates follow-through on every level of the sales cycle by maintaining contact with the customer, inside sales, manufacturers, sample requests, quotes, and ensuring completion and timeliness aligned with customer expectations. Attends quarterly business reviews (QBR) with suppliers and regular internal management meetings to understand the business outlook and opportunities. Ensures timely price quotes by gathering accurate product and delivery information to provide the best solution and profitability for TTI. Increases customer account coverage by working with Account Representatives to deliver high levels of service and support. Works with the customer’s buyers, purchasing and engineering staff on projects and designs by offering value-added services to secure future business. Strategizes with company management on large quotes to negotiate price and delivery terms to win the business while maintaining profitability. Negotiates special pricing from suppliers by identifying opportunities during the quote process. Responds to customer questions, resolves problems, and follows through to provide the highest level of service. Builds relationships with customers through appropriate entertainment when useful for negotiations and appreciation of business. Maintains market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends, and new concepts to inform decision-making and value addition. Reports daily itinerary to branch management with appointment details for activity tracking. Supports the TTI Total Quality Program by ensuring defined processes are followed and identifying areas for improvement. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree and two years of field sales experience, preferably in component sales and/or engineering, with a background including progression from inside sales; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. What we look for

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills. Organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Ability to present complex topics to senior management and groups. Strong analytical skills for calculating discounts, interests, commissions, and percentages. Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and presentations. Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations. Independent decision-making with minimal supervision. Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and computer systems. Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record; travel up to 50% depending on territory. Typing speed of 40 words per minute; basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Physical ability to carry up to 10 lbs. Please note that relocation assistance is not offered.
