Regional Sales Manager – Crowcon Detection Instruments Ltd. (Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 4SD). Join our Sales team to lead the North America region, reporting to the US General Manager.

What you will be doing As a member of the Sales team, you will direct and control all sales and related functions across North America to ensure the region meets agreed sales and financial objectives. You will develop key sales channels and partners, define and execute a sales strategy aligned with marketing, and manage a diverse team including a General Manager, other Regional Sales Managers, a Service Technician, Inside Sales, Shipping/Receiving Clerk, and Part‑time Bookkeeper.
Main Responsibilities
Execute sales activities to meet financial and legal obligations, including sales quota and regional profitability.
Deploy the company’s go‑to‑market and marketing strategy, launching new products, services, and value propositions.
Create demand for new business opportunities and maintain all requisite data within a CRM.
Provide tactical and strategic technical advice to grow the business within specific market segments.
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and channel partners to maximise sales potential.
Ensure all sales activities exceed customer needs and improve customer satisfaction.
Assist management in formulating and monitoring the annual business plan to achieve corporate objectives.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes, communicating them effectively to the team.
Maintain clear communication with customers and contractors on all sales activities.
Provide quotations in line with company KPI’s and expectations.
Manage all customer inquiries, delivering excellent customer service.
Travel to support customers and sales‑related enquiries (up to 50% travel).
Your Skills & Experience
Essential
Technical or business degree or equivalent and relevant professional qualifications, or equivalent practical experience.
Two or more years of selling experience, preferably in a technical sales environment.
Comprehensive understanding of sales, marketing and support processes.
High level of commercial awareness and proven track record success.
High level of spoken and written English.
Entrepreneurial approach.
Knowledge of US markets.
Desirable
Five or more years’ experience in gas detection or related industry.
Experience developing others to succeed in a sales environment.
MBA or similar.
