Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Processing freight
Assisting with price changes and markdowns
Balancing the register according to company policy
Calling out prices for the customer when ringing the register transaction
Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer’s transaction
Handling all cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and by company policy
Obtaining management approval when needed for returns, voids, and checks
Handling maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
Providing proper customer service such as greeting the customer, abides by fitting room policies, rings customer in a timely fashion, thanks the customer for shopping at the store, and invites them to return
Following all safety procedures
Keeping a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
Assisting management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock level
Assisting management with any tasks requested per company policy
Explaining our exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
Responsible for assisting the Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following all current operational policies
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
Seniority level: Entry level
