Ad Sales Account Executive
to join our Los Angeles team. You will be responsible for driving new business, managing client relationships, and delivering revenue growth for California Post. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in media sales, deep industry contacts, and understands how to prospect, negotiate, and close deals in a competitive marketplace. Responsibilities
Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth across digital advertising, sponsorships, and brand partnerships. Identify, prospect, and secure new clients within target verticals and geographies. Build and maintain strong relationships with advertisers, agencies, and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and editorial, to craft integrated advertising solutions. Manage the full sales cycle, including RFP responses, contract negotiations, and post‑sale account management. Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipelines, and CRM data. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities to advise clients effectively. Requirements
Minimum 5 years of ad sales experience, preferably within media or digital news organizations. Proven success in prospecting, closing deals, and exceeding revenue targets. Strong network of media and advertising contacts in Los Angeles and beyond. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup‑like environment. Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Ability and willingness to travel as needed. Note
This role is primarily based in our Los Angeles office; occasional remote work may be allowed, with the expectation that you will be on‑site for core team collaboration and client‑facing activities, excluding external sales meetings or travel as required. Pay Range
$100,000 – $150,000 (Base) Bonus Potential
$50,000 – $75,000 (based on meeting sales goals; bonus can go up to 200% of target) Note: Bonus reflects full achievement of sales goals; there is potential for higher payout if targets are exceeded. Benefits
