Overview Sales Representative – Pasco

The Waste Pro Sales Representative plays a key role in short‑ and long‑term revenue growth through targeted prospecting, business development, communication, relationship building, and consultative selling within a defined territory. Responsibilities include acquiring new contracts and extending existing ones for the collection, processing, transportation, and disposal of solid waste and recyclables. The role works closely with the Sales Manager, Division Managers, and other internal partners to understand economic and buying influences, meet client expectations, and close deals. It also supports municipal prospecting efforts.

Essential Job Functions

Develop maximum potential sales volume and profitability within the defined territory.

Partner with Regional and Corporate Sales Managers to develop short‑ and long‑term strategic market and sales plans.

Meet or exceed sales call activity goals for new sales.

Clearly match Waste Pro services and support to meet and exceed customer needs.

Build a strong customer base within the region by contacting prospective customers by phone or in‑person visits.

Ensure customer satisfaction through direct communication and solicitation of feedback.

Drive acquisition, retention, and renewal of contracts by developing and maintaining relationships with customers, appointed staff, and decision‑makers.

Know the competition and use industry/company knowledge to prepare winning proposals.

Accountable with corporate sales, marketing, and regional management to develop bid and RFP submissions that meet specifications, pricing, and professional quality.

Interface with Waste Pro executives, managers, associates, and customers to target opportunities and aggressively pursue leads.

Partner with Finance and regional management to review billing and contract audits for best pricing and accurate invoicing.

Stay involved in complaint resolution and resolve issues in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Participate in community events and activities that promote Waste Pro’s distinct value (e.g., Chambers of Commerce, local leagues, environmental groups, civic associations).

Communicate management with sales activities that may impact the Division, Region, or Company.

Use technology to monitor, track, and report sales activity, and forecast revenue opportunities.

Collaborate with Corporate Sales, Marketing, and Regional Specialists on press coverage, collateral, advertising, and sponsorship recommendations.

Research current competitor services and pricing.

Use a standard format or sales automation tool to maintain the status of sales activities.

Other Job Responsibilities

Attend and participate in corporate‑sponsored training courses as assigned.

Maintain knowledge of current technology relevant to the job.

Perform any additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Special Considerations / Physical Work Requirements

Requires motor coordination with finger dexterity (e.g., keyboarding, machine operation, driving).

Must be properly licensed and able to drive extensively within the defined territory.
