Responsibilities
Processing freight
Assisting with price changes and markdowns
Balancing the register according to company policy
Calling out prices to customers while ringing register transactions
Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer’s transaction
Handling all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy
Obtaining management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks
Handling maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
Providing proper customer service such as greeting customers, abides by fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely fashion, thanking customers for shopping and inviting them to return
Following all safety procedures
Maintaining a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
Assisting management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level
Assisting management with any tasks requested per company policy
Explaining our exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
Assisting Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty and following all current operational policies
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
