Position Purpose
The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety & environmental program compliance in their assigned store(s). They use tools to minimize loss to the Company, such as identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring the store's physical security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and fostering a shrink elimination culture. They also prepare accurate case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement, and testify in criminal and civil court actions. The Specialist must report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out duties in a manner that minimizes injury risk to themselves, associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. Demonstrating integrity at all times, responding to asset protection concerns, and supporting store-specific business objectives while fulfilling key operational responsibilities is essential. Responsibilities
