Summary:
Program Directors (PD) provide management and support to a caseload of campus-based or community-based residential homes, providing care and support to adults with developmental disabilities. Hours may be flexible based on needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Family Living Director, Senior Family Living Director, Family Resource Specialist, Community Living Specialist, and Resource Support Specialist.
Indirectly supervises all employees assigned to specified positions.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Basic Qualifications Reasonable accommodations may be made. Must be at least 21 years of age, have a nurturing and caring demeanor, and a genuine interest in supporting independence of those served.
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience in human services field, with at least 3 years supervisory experience required.
Trainings, Licenses, & Certifications Valid Maryland driver’s license with fewer than three points and no alcohol or drug citations. Training may be provided upon hire: Bello Machre Orientation, Developmental Disabilities Orientation, First Aid, CPR, MANDT, Choking Prevention & Dysphagia Diets, Skills Training, Combatting Constipation, Certified Medication Technician Training, Supervisory Training, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Maryland.

Physical Demands Regularly require standing, walking, sitting, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, 50‑pound lifts, operating equipment, traveling by automobile, transporting individuals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure health and well‑being of each person supported; report medical concerns and incidents timely; maintain accurate documentation.
Provide management for each home; conduct supervisory meetings, in‑service meetings, training, documentation; maintain staff schedules.
Maintain accurate medical, financial and personal records; complete injury/incident reports; manage receipts and payments.
Ensure homes are well‑maintained, family‑style, safe environment.
Provide support for individuals to participate fully in community life; advocate, promote choice, build relationships.
Maintain up‑to‑date Person Centered Plans, behavior and medication plans; ensure staff implements them.
Maintain comfort, privacy and dignity of each person; report abuse/neglect incidents promptly.
Communicate positively with persons, visitors, family, peers, supervisors.
Attend mandatory meetings; organize house meetings.
Manage caseload schedule, house hours, budget and overtime; maintain schedules in automated system.
Verify and maintain personal data of supported individuals.
Ensure safety training, fire drills, emergency procedures.
Conduct monthly/quarterly audits; report corrections; submit progress reports.
Respond to phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
Meet deadlines within reasonable time.
Maintain clean and organized work area.
Act as Family Living Director or direct support professional as needed.
Participate in weekend on‑call rotation.
Other duties as assigned.
