Job Summary Job Title: Fire Protection Inspector – Pump Run Fire Protection Inspector. The primary function of this role is to perform NFPA based inspections of water-based fire systems and fire alarm systems. The company goal is to continuously grow the revenues of inspections while maintaining profits, satisfying customer requirements, and staying compliant with NFPA guidelines. This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus toward customer development and support, quality work performance, and an understanding of all the necessary NFPA codes that support each fire system. It will require travel to customer sites.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Perform NFPA 25 weekly & monthly fire pumps runs.

Perform basic troubleshooting of fire pumps.

Monitor and ensure progress and completion of all assigned tasks.

Complete and submit all work tickets and inspection reports to administrative personnel in a timely manner.

Self-schedule daily inspections.

Up-sell company capabilities to new and existing customers.

Perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30 to 40 feet from ground level, as necessary.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.

2 years of related work experience is required.

Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.

Basic mechanical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues are required.

The ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, scissors, or articulating lifts is required.

A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Ability to obtain all required certifications, including NICET is required.

Able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds is required.

Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications is required.

Excellent customer service skills are required.

Demonstration of a positive attitude is required.

Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.

Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.

Environmental conditions of this position are occasionally wide-ranging including inside, outside, extreme hot, extreme cold, fumes, odors, dust, poor ventilation, hazards, humid, and wet. This position frequently requires protective equipment for eyes, feet, hearing, and head. Operation of a computer, telephone, and hand tools (power & manual) is required. Understanding simple math, simple drawings, technical reports, technical instructions, layout work, legal documents, simple memos, and business letters is required. Writing simple memos, summaries, and technical reports is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to customers and company locations by land and air.

Computer Skills
