As a sales leader, you will establish and manage relationships with potential and existing customers, and develop strategies and objectives to increase the sales of Husky systems.

This direct sales role is responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue, price, product mix, and share of wallet targets for a given group of customers, and for ensuring the Husky corporate image is respected over competitors.

The role requires an in-depth understanding of the market and Husky solutions (products and services) and the ability to build strong relationships with customers at all levels of the customer organization. You will coordinate with other Husky sales members and ensure alignment in executing customer strategies.

Responsibilities

Sales and account management of all Rigid Packaging products.

Prospect new accounts in defined areas.

Develop a long‑term written strategy, including account planning and budgeting, for your area and accounts that aligns with the corporate mandate and ensure the strategy is well communicated to other sales members covering service accounts.

Build a deep understanding of account business mandates relating to Husky solutions and provide updates to supporting sales members.

Review customer needs and develop opportunities and solutions, ultimately resulting in a proposal to close the order; facilitate order management with the sales support team.

Prepare professional reports, presentations, and cost models for customers.

Host customers during visits to Husky, shows, and dinners.

Ensure all opportunities are reported in the Husky order management tool and update as needed.

Stay aware of competitors’ offerings and activities in your accounts and track all equipment purchased regardless of brand.

Provide market and competitor feedback to other groups within Husky to drive strategies.

Submit lost order reports for all products and services acquired elsewhere by primary and service accounts.

Report mergers, buy‑outs, or other significant changes in accounts, align strategy, and communicate impacts to leaders and sales members.

Identify and communicate high‑risk opportunities to the team leader and sales support for full support.

Conduct market research in your area to assess strengths and weaknesses of Husky’s products relative to market requirements and competition.

Provide regular market feedback to Business Development to support development projects.

Identify potential risks and points of resistance in meeting targets, and develop and facilitate resolutions.

Communicate with the team leader to keep them updated with progress, issues, and developments.

Address quality and service issues related to accounts; drive accountability with the service team and, if necessary, raise red flags with senior service team members.

Highlight critical service issues that may affect final payments or future orders to the team leader and senior service team members.

Facilitate resolution of issues that may hold up final payment of orders.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of related sales experience.

A comprehensive understanding of Husky’s business and corporate philosophy.

Very strong business and financial acumen.

Excellent negotiating and selling abilities.

Committed to delivering results.

Ability to think and execute strategically.

Excellent understanding of injection molding and the customer’s end product and market.

Promote Husky products based on customer needs.

Strong relationship and interpersonal skills; inspires others and can influence people beyond direct reports.

Displays maturity—credits success and owns failures.

Passion for continuous improvements and driving change as needed.

Strong understanding of local culture.

Travel required with openness to different cultures.

Excellent knowledge of customer business model.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.
