JR101023Opportunity awaits those up to the challenge of developing transformative therapies across a broad range of debilitating diseases.**Summary:**In the buildup to the upcoming launch of its groundbreaking treatment for a debilitating retinal disease, Apellis is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and talented individual for the role of Sales Manager, Germany. This is an exceptional opportunity to establish and grow Apellis’ presence in Germany by driving the launch of our first product in the local market, making a profound impact on patients’ lives. Reporting to the General Manager Germany, the Sales Manager will build, support, motivate and drive a high-performance sales team.**Roles and Responsibilities:*** Leading, motivating, and coaching of the regional Key Account Manager (KAM) team. Planning and monitoring the development of KAMs operational expenditure and resource deployment and be responsible for financial management of sales budgets within agreed operational budgets* Implementation of CRM dashboards and reports as well as regular follow-up with the regional KAMs to gain market insights* Following up with regional KAM team for proper and efficient implementation of the marketing and sales plan* Defining, executing, and monitoring regional sales plans. Tracking and analyzing sales development based on key performance indicators and relevant metrics* Establishing and maintaining robust and constructive relationships with key customers and opinion leaders, leading strategic initiatives with key external stakeholders within the region* Investigating, analyzing, and evaluating market feedback regarding competitors’ activities and market’s dynamics and proactively working to adopt it in the favor of the business* Coordinating with the senior management team on strategic decision and strategy implementation* Representing Apellis at national congresses and at key regional and local educational events* Driving multi-channel approach (incl. Face to Face, virtual calls, hybrid meetings, opt-in generation) and supporting KAM team in organizing high value innovative educational meetings* Cross-functional (and occasional cross-country) project work and collaboration between Sales, Medical, Marketing, Market Access and other functions* Reporting on sales and expenses and presenting realistic forecasts to the senior management team* Ensuring all business is conducted in compliance with internal policies and external regulations**Education, registration and certification:*** University degree in life sciences, Business Administration or equivalent**Skills, knowledge and abilities:*** Minimum of 6 years of work experience in Pharma, Biotech or Medical Device sales and sales management. Proven track record in ophthalmology sales or related healthcare markets preferred.* Can point to evidence on successfully building, inspiring, and developing sales teams* Motivating and inspiring leader with can-do attitude* Result driven personality, hands-on approach, entrepreneurial mindset* Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, result-driven environment, managing through ambiguity* Willingness to travel 60%-80%* Native-level proficiency in German and fluent English (spoken and written)**Work Arrangement:****Travel Requirements:**Not listed
