Strategic Account Manager

to drive new business and develop key customer relationships.

Purpose This role focuses on new business development, seeking and developing new accounts.

Summary The Strategic Account Manager will seek and develop key relationships with strategically important large customers, achieve sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives, represent the full range of company products and services, lead the customer account planning cycle, and ensure customer needs are met.

Duties (Critical to Success)

Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.

Develop and build a new account portfolio.

Achieve assigned strategic account objectives.

Establish strong, long-term client relationships.

Communicate with clients regularly and respond to specific inquiries.

Suggest solutions and innovative ideas to meet client needs.

Handle complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner.

Act as the liaison between key customers and internal teams.

Identify and approach new potential strategic customers.

Align with Senior Leadership internally to determine an effective strategy on how the company wants to increase growth, customers, and revenue.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Critical To Success)

High level of interpersonal relationship and good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to meet assigned targets within a stipulated time period.

Deliverables

Achieves assigned sales quota.

Meets assigned expectations for profitability.

Achieves strategic customer objectives as outlined in quarterly goals.

Completes strategic customer account plans as outlined in quarterly goals.

Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings as outlined in quarterly goals.

Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.

Job Specifications, Standards, and Requirements

Minimum of 2‑3 years of strategic sales experience.

Solid sales experience in a business‑to‑business environment.

Hands‑on experience with CRM software and account management systems.

Understanding of sales performance metrics.

Ability to address customer requests in a timely manner.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships.

Strong problem‑solving skills.

Desire to perform in a flexible working environment.

Availability to travel as needed.

Compensation Base salary range: $60,000 – $70,000. Additional responsibilities may include adherence to vendor partner policies.
