Responsibilities
Develop and secure strategic sales opportunities for HTC’s direct steam injection (DSI) technology in the region.
Increase market share, revenue growth, and customer base by securing installations in targeted applications.
Provide market development and technical sales support for existing sales channel partners.
Establish additional sales channel partners that service open geographic areas or niche market segments.
Secure direct sales where channel partners are not established.
DSI systems are used for thermal treatment during physical or chemical processing of raw materials/products in a liquefied slurry. Typical industries include chemical, food, beverage, grain milling, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, biotech, pulp and paper, wastewater treatment and petrochemical. This position supports our Food/Beverage/Pharmaceutical business.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive regional sales plan detailing programs and strategies to achieve and surpass HTC financial goals and personal objectives.
Meet annually with each channel partner to develop their HTC marketing plan and review progress quarterly.
Increase HTC “mindshare” with each sales channel partner for preferred presentation of DSI heat transfer applications.
Ensure sales leads are followed and dispositions documented in SalesLogix.
Evaluate new channel partners to replace ineffective ones or expand into niche markets or new geographic areas.
Conduct joint sales calls to present HTC product line and provide assistance in market development.
Conduct “lunch‑and‑learn” sessions to increase technical product knowledge and market development capabilities.
Educational Requirements
Minimum: BA in Business Administration, BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Preferred: MBA, MS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Professional Engineer certification.
Required Experience
7-10 years managing a comprehensive sales process for technical, engineered products and capital equipment.
2+ years selling to sanitary industries.
Successful record of increasing annual sales quotas for a multi‑state region.
Experience developing a results‑oriented network of industrial sales channel partners (manufacturers’ representatives, distributors).
Experience with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and national accounts.
Proficiency with PC, Windows, Microsoft Office and SalesLogix or similar CRM software.
Travel Requirements Approximately 50% travel within the territory. Must possess legal authorization to work in the US, a valid US driver’s license, and a valid passport.
Territory Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Puerto Rico. Must be located within the respective territory.
