As a Nordstrom Rack team member you will continuously move and collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You’ll ensure a quick and easy customer experience, keep the store clean and clutter‑free, and may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain floor and stockroom cleanliness and help customers find great deals.
Sales & Customer Service Responsibilities
Work with the team to keep the sales floor “runway ready,” re‑merchandising, and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers at the cashier with a variety of transactions across in‑store, online, and mobile platforms, operating a point‑of‑sale system, bagging items of all sizes and handling bulky items.
Create a smooth fitting‑room experience by greeting and assisting customers and returning clothing to the floor.
Maintain a clean and clutter‑free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep the stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.
Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Stock & Fulfillment Responsibilities
Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders adhering to packing and shipping standards.
Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general support to the store, including setting up special events, organizing backroom markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
Qualifications & Attributes
Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.
Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
Continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment only: frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Pay Hourly rate: $15.95 – $16.55. This position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives/bonuses.
