As a Sales and Use Tax Manager assigned to EY’s Sales and Use Tax Lookback Review Center of Excellence (COE), you’ll build and apply your knowledge on a wide range of sales and use tax recovery projects for clients in multiple industries. You’ll work alongside some of the most engaging colleagues, committed to developing you and providing plenty of opportunities for career progression. Key Responsibilities

There is no average day for a Sales and Use Tax Manager in the Sales and Use Tax Lookback Review COE. Your time will be spent on a diverse array of projects, responsibilities, and tasks, providing up-to-the-minute tax advice that clients rely on. You’ll work in a highly collaborative culture, where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is essential. Skills and Attributes for Success

Researching clients’ business operations and building long‑lasting relationships Identifying applicable sales and use tax exemptions and exclusions Identifying potential overpayment opportunities or risks and communicating these to clients Monitoring current tax law changes to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor Developing clear, intelligent plans and approaches for sales and use tax recoveries Preparing and defending sales and use tax refund claims Participating in a motivated team of professionals Managing a motivated team, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to reach their full potential Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline Professional knowledge in a broad range of sales and use tax processes, concepts, and tools Experience managing budgets, people, and projects A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization Technical writing and research experience in a tax context The ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects Strong influencing skills and confidence to question existing processes Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment Additional qualifications:

Achieved CPA qualification, certification as a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, CMI designation, or membership in a state bar What We Look For

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package, with a base salary range of $105,100 to $192,600 nationwide and higher ranges for major metros. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. A team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model, with most external, client‑serving roles working together in person 40–60% of the time.
