Full-time Description
The Funeral Director/Embalmer transforms a person’s final event into a celebration of life through arrangements and services for the deceased and their loved ones. Impact You Will Make
Meet with clients to explain funeral arrangements, service options, casket selection, pricing, and prepare standardized contracts. Perform technical and embalming services. Finalize details discussed during arrangement conferences and maintain compliance documentation. Direct funeral services and visitation, greet family members, coordinate pallbearers, and escort clergy to chapel. Prepare, coordinate, and issue permits and documents associated with funerals and embalming. Remove and transport the deceased from home or hospital to the funeral home. Maintain cleanliness of the preparation room and equipment. Perform all other related functions as assigned. Core Competencies

1 year licensed funeral director experience and 2 years post‑secondary education. Licensed funeral director and embalmer or ability to obtain state license. Graduated from an accredited school of embalming or mortuary science. High concentration and attention for continuous periods. Able to stand, walk, lift, or push occasionally. Valid state driver's license. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Team collaboration skills. Availability to work holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed. Benefits
