Summary Of Job Duties And Responsibilities
Train, supervise, evaluate, and support a staff of Resident Advisors and Desk Supervisors in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Manage the residence hall(s), including programming, student support and engagement, disciplines, facilities, and occupancy management.
Oversee a 24/7 desk operation and mailroom.
Serve as the primary judicial officer for student conduct in the residence halls.
Serve on the on‑call rotation for all campus‑housing facilities and be the primary on‑call staff member for a designated residence hall throughout the academic year, including after hours and during breaks.
Provide crisis support management in collaboration with campus resources.
Liaise between the RA staff and the Residential College Council, working with the College Head as appropriate.
Participate in Residence Life and Housing committees as appropriate.
Supervise Resident Advisors, Desk Supervisors, Day and Night Desk Staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Minimum Experience And Skill Requirements
Must be enrolled in a Murray State Graduate program prior to the start date.
Prior experience in housing and/or residence life.
