Job Summary:

The Sales Manager – Masterbatch (Color and Additives) will be responsible for driving sales, developing new business, and managing key accounts within the masterbatch segment. The role involves promoting color and additive solutions to various industries, traveling throughout the assigned territory, and maintaining CRM profiles on all customers and potential/targeted business.

Key Responsibilities – Sales and Business Development:

Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand market share for color and additive masterbatch products.

Identify new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and convert leads into sales.

Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups, proposals, and closing of deals.

Negotiate pricing and contract terms to meet both customer needs and company profitability goals.

Account Management:

Maintain and grow relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact for product inquiries, orders, and customer service.

Understand customer needs and work closely with the technical and production teams to offer customized solutions.

Monitor customer satisfaction, address any concerns, and ensure long-term partnerships.

Market Research and Strategy:

Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies, sales materials, and product positioning.

Provide feedback to R&D and production teams on market demands and opportunities for new product development.

Reporting and Performance Tracking:

Track sales performance metrics and regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, client retention, and market share growth.

Set sales targets for the region or territory and ensure achievement of these targets.

Prepare detailed reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

5+ years of sales experience in the compounding plastic masterbatch industry, specifically in color and additive products.

Technical Skills:

Understanding of plastic processing methods and familiarity with color matching, polymer additives, and masterbatch production.

Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, strong analytical problem solving, and self‑motivated with strong time management and organization.

Other Requirements:

Familiar with CRM systems; proficient in Microsoft Office; willing to travel 50% of the time; motivated, ambitious, and self‑driven; able to work independently.
