Mortgage Sales Manager

location.

The Mortgage Sales Manager is a key performer based on quarterly performance levels and must meet production standards developed by management. Individuals will be required to develop leads and originate mortgage loans through branches, realtors and builders, and respond to referrals from branch personnel and others. Candidates should have an understanding of mortgage regulations, processes and other bank products and services to deepen relationships with customers.

The salary range for this position is

$68,000 to $70,000

depending on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and location.

Responsibilities

Develop, lead and originate mortgage loans through branches, realtors and builders.

Motivate direct report sales team to achieve production milestones and work cohesively with the operations team and other department leaders.

Manage a team of MLOs to ensure sales goals and key metrics are being met.

Identify new strategies to drive new volume and gain market share.

Interview mortgage loan applicants and take loan applications from customers.

Send applicant’s file to processors in the centralized loan support area.

Respond to referrals from branch personnel and others.

Lead recruiting efforts to meet headcount goals per market.

Maintain product mix goals to align with the bank’s profit goals.

Drive deposit goals per market.

Assist in obtaining additional data or information when requested by processors.

Cross‑sell all bank products and services to deepen customer relationships.

Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience; MBA or master’s degree preferred.

5+ years of lending experience preferred.

Must be able to work autonomously exercising considerable independent judgment.

Must maintain composure in stressful situations.

Must work flexible hours.
