Position Summary The Regional Sales Manager – Wastewater is responsible for leading, training, and motivating independent sales representatives while driving growth for engineered wastewater and water treatment equipment and systems. This role focuses on promoting and selling technical solutions to municipalities, consulting engineers, and industrial customers. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and relationship‑building skills to expand market presence and manage sales opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and motivate sales representatives to promote and sell wastewater and water treatment equipment and systems
Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, consulting engineers, and industrial customers
Promote engineered wastewater treatment solutions through in‑person meetings, presentations, and site visits
Prepare and manage proposals, pricing, and project documentation for opportunities in preliminary design and bidding stages
Track and manage sales opportunities using a CRM‑based system
Deliver technical and sales presentations, including PowerPoint presentations, to customers and engineering firms
Participate in industry trade shows and professional events
Travel monthly within assigned sales territories to promote products and services
Collaborate internally with engineering, manufacturing, and support teams to align customer needs with technical solutions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited university
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in wastewater, water treatment, or engineered equipment sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex engineering solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
High level of attention to detail and strong problem‑solving abilities
Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and capable of managing individual productivity and results
Proficiency with basic computer applications and CRM systems
Monthly travel within assigned sales territory required
Participation in industry trade shows required
Onsite position based in Bartlett, Illinois
Candidates must be able to relocate prior to start date
Compensation
Salary Range:
$110,000 – $120,000 annually
This salary range applies to this position and will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity
Incentive Compensation
Annual discretionary bonus based on company and/or individual performance
Profit‑sharing program eligibility, subject to plan terms
Benefits & Retirement Benefit offerings for full‑time employment include:

401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
Tuition reimbursement and continuing education assistance
Participation in benefit plans may require employee contributions, which will be detailed during enrollment.
