Front line application sales engineer focused on technical sales support, sales lead generation and general business development for the Western PA territory which includes Erie, Beaver, Butler, Armstrong, Indiana, Somerset, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Clearfield, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Clairton, Elk, Forest, Venango, McKean, Warren, Crawford, Cameron, Potter, and portions of Allegheny, Westmoreland, Washington, Fayette, Greene and other select accounts as required. Responsibilities will include supplying Quality Products to Industrial Customers with an emphasis on service. Anchor Pump represents and distributes several premium manufacturers such as: Peerless Pumps, Peerless Fire Pumps, Grundfos Pumps, Prominent Pumps, Wanner Hydra‑Cell, along with many other industrial pumps, VFD's, seals, and related engineered equipment. Anchor Pump is also 1 out of 8 distributors that have a Sustainability Partnership with Grundfos.

Product and application customer training

Territory and industry specific strategic planning and execution

Customer relations maintenance and development

Technical applications review

Lead in quotations preparation and assistance with preparation

Cost analysis, profit maximization

Vendor relations, cooperative vendor sales calls and training as needed and available

Achieve the sales budget for a defined group of user customers.

Drive regional, corporate account business strategies and new product introductions.

Conduct in‑plant and seminars to educate users in the use of our products and services.

Represents the organization in providing solutions associated with the sale and marketing of our products.

Previous performance must have demonstrated superior Conceptual, Technical, People, and Organizational Skills plus a Strong Work Ethic

Creative thinking, entrepreneurial thinking

Excellent interpersonal and selling skills.

Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Must have or be capable of developing strong technical knowledge of company products.

Ability to communicate effectively at management and hourly maintenance levels.

Knowledge of manufacturing process flow.

Ability to work under pressure and rapidly changing priorities.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, talk, or hear and reach with hands and arms.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.

Ability to travel.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Exposure to high levels of heat or noise may occur while visiting in the customer plant environment.

Moderate noise (i.e.: computer printers, traffic) exists daily in the work environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Occasional paid travel, including overnight, is expected. Mostly for Vendor trainings/events
