Key Responsibilities
Review and process medical claims for accuracy and completeness.
Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim discrepancies and denials.
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding medical billing and reimbursement.
Maintain detailed records of claims and payments for auditing purposes.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation for claims.
Provide support and guidance to patients regarding their insurance benefits and billing inquiries.
Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement policies.
Skills And Qualifications
Proven experience in medical billing and reimbursement processes.
Strong knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT) and insurance policies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Requires regular and predictable attendance.
